Therapeutic Category:

• Active Ingredients/Composition: Contains two main active drugs per gram of gel:
  • Clindamycin Phosphate IP (equivalent to Clindamycin 1% w/w): A lincosamide antibiotic that kills Cutibacterium acnes, the bacteria that cause pimples.
  • Adapalene IP (0.1% w/w): A third-generation retinoid (derived from Vitamin A) that stops skin cells from clogging up pores. 

Vitamins: 

• Contains Adapalene, which acts exactly like a highly concentrated, man-made form of Vitamin A tailored for your skin. 

Minerals: 

• None. It is a strictly chemical and medical formulation with no structural minerals.

Usage & Forms:

Variant: 

• 15g squeeze tube. It is formulated as an oil-free aqueous gel to prevent adding extra grease to your skin. 

Consume Type: 

• Topical use only. It must only be applied to the outer skin layer and never swallowed or put inside the mouth, nose, or eyes. 
• Directions/Usage:
  • Wash your hands and gently clean the affected areas with a mild, soapless cleanser, then pat the skin completely dry.
  • Apply a very thin layer of the gel over the entire acne-prone area once a day, preferably in the evening before bedtime.
  • Avoid rubbing it into raw skin, open cuts, or the highly sensitive skin right around your eyes and lips.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly immediately after application. 

Safety & Storage:

• Common Side Effects: Local skin dryness, redness (erythema), burning or stinging sensations, mild peeling, and temporary skin irritation. These effects are common during the first 2 to 4 weeks as your skin gets used to the retinoid.

Storage Advice:

•  Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Do not freeze the tube. Keep the cap tightly shut when not in use and keep it completely out of reach of children.
• Safety Advice:
  • Adapalene makes your skin highly sensitive to sunlight. Always use a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day and avoid tanning beds or long sun exposure.
  • Do not use this gel alongside harsh, drying skincare products like abrasive soaps, alcohol-based toners, or heavy chemical scrubs.
  • This medication is generally not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to the Vitamin A derivative.
  • Stop using it and see a doctor if you develop severe, non-stop skin burning or bloody diarrhoea (a very rare systemic reaction to clindamycin).
