Amoksiclav (Oxynic) is a combination antibiotic medication containing amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium.

Dosage Form:

 Injection

Strength: 

600mg (amoxicillin 500mg and clavulanate 100mg)

Active Ingredients:

 Amoxicillin Trihydrate and Clavulanate Potassium

Inactive Ingredients: 

Sodium citrate, sodium metabisulfite, and water for injection

Indications: 

Treats bacterial infections such as:

– Respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis)

– Urinary tract infections

– Skin and soft tissue infections

– Ear, nose, and throat infections

Contraindications:

– Severe kidney disease

– Liver problems

– Jaundice

– Allergy to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics

Side Effects:

– Nausea and vomiting

– Diarrhea

– Rash

– Itching

– Vaginal itching or discharge

Precautions:

– Monitor for signs of allergic reactions
