Description:

Fluxamox 500mg capsules are light grey and pink hard gelatin capsules containing white powder of amoxicillin trihydrate. They are supplied in packs of 10 capsules.

Active Ingredient:
Amoxicillin trihydrate equivalent to 500mg amoxicillin per capsule

Indications:
Antibacterial antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections such as chest, ear, nose and throat infections. Effective against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to amoxicillin, penicillins or cephalosporins. Caution in renal impairment.

Dosage:
Usual dose is 250-500mg every 8 hours. Duration depends on type and severity of infection. Maximum 3g daily.

Added Information:
Capsules can be taken with or without food. Complete the full course as advised by the prescriber.

Caution:
Use cautiously in pregnancy and breastfeeding. May cause diarrhoea or fungal overgrowth.

Side Effects:
Diarrhoea, nausea, rash, vomiting, fungal overgrowth.

Storage:
Store below 25°C in original container.
